Sicilian straw basket

Sicilian baskets are traditional straw containers used by our grandparents to carry feed for livestock in the fields.

Today, they have become fashion accessories to show off while walking or at the beach.

All my coffas are handmade by expert craftsmen using straw or dwarf palm leaves.

My decoration starts with a design, where I study the colors and combinations of trimmings, in a harmonious way, trying to maintain the simplicity and originality of the coffa.

They are all lined inside with satin fabric and closed with a ribbon pull.

Many of my bags are decorated with a design that I first create on paper, then print on canvas, and finally apply to the bag.

I like to pair each bag with a small cotton clutch bag, which is very useful for us women to keep our keys, cell phones, or cosmetics organized.

And for a flawless look, I always pair accessories...earrings, necklaces, bracelets, in various materials, wood, brass, or nickel-free bronze.

This way, every woman can easily complete her outfit.
